Awesome job. Because of COVID, everything was delayed, and James kept us well informed. There was a small issue with pavers (no fault of the company), and it was handled very professionally by them. I highly recommend them

Jim and his crew gave us the complete 5-star experience. They were prompt, professional, and courteous, even when changes were requested and/or they had to scramble for materials due to current shortages. They were happy to answer any questions while they worked and finished ahead of schedule and on budget with an end product that was even better than initial design suggested. I not only got discretely fixed drainage issues but a yard so pretty you’d never know the damage existed. Not only do I highly recommend them, I have already secured them for another job.

Our experience with Jim was great! We updated our front walkway and stairs with stone, and we could not be happier. Jim’s attention to detail and knowledge of the material can definitely be seen in his work. He was able to transform the front of our house and even advised us on the landscaping around the new walkway. We would recommend Jim to anyone and will be using him for our future landscaping needs.
We were so impressed with the work Jim did that we immediately asked him to do more. The landscaping in front of our home was a boring collection of different, green, ball shrubs. Jim put together a design that has different bushes flowering at different times, which will provide an interesting, attractive entrance. We also wanted to add some privacy bushes in the backyard. Jim’s selection has provided a beautiful, fragrant privacy screen which is already attracting bees and butterflies. Higginbotham Design LLC is a great choice.
Amazing experience. My wife and I wanted to put in a patio in the backyard to have friends and family over to do cookouts. We weren’t sure what to do, how to design, or how to go about it. We had an idea, but it was always a mud pit, so we couldn’t see the big picture. Jim walked us through from concept to completion. We had the front yard done with river rock and new sod. The back patio and walkway came out amazing. His crew was great to work with and very easy to make any adjustments along the way. Higginbotham Design LLC is an outstanding company. Jim Higginbotham was incredibly responsive from the start. He spent as much time as necessary, traveling to our house multiple times, simply to get our concept exactly how we wanted it. His estimate was spot-on and the completed project of our very large patio, fireplace, and water-feature is incredible. It’s just what we wanted. What an excellent contractor! We had a fantastic experience with Jim Higginbotham building our stone patio and deck. We had been staring at mud and the remnants of a concrete slab and 20-year-old deck for over a year. We also needed to solve our drainage problem. Water had been seeping into our basement after heavy rains.
After several disappointing false starts, we lucked out and found Jim. Jim solved our drainage problems and left us with a stunning stone patio with seating walls and perfect steps leading into our living room. He also built a beautiful deck entrance from the patio into our sun room. Jim listened to us and delivered the perfect patio for us. He has amazing technical skills. His measurements were perfect. His ideas were creative and in line with our budget. His crew was hardworking and fast. His calm demeanor made what could have been a difficult, emotional process easy and comfortable. We are extremely happy with our patio and with Jim Higginbotham.

Jim and his team built a large water feature in our front yard. They were friendly, professional, and extremely hardworking. The rocks complement the surrounding terrain. The noise is soothing. Jim even gave me irises to plant in the waterfall. We love it, especially the frogs!
